This magnificent Blue Iris was given to me and back to its original home, my recent studio before moving last November, by a wonderful Donegal gardener, Fun Britton. She had saved it when the cottage was being renovated 15 years ago. What brilliant blue majesty now unfolds again, for a small handful of days. One stem of blooms became two this year. I couldn't resist being utterly drawn in to its fluttering folds.
