A beautiful climbing, meandering plant, synonymous with wild cottage gardens and hedgerows. My father has it climbing with clematis in his garden. Today, some family time with my niece and as lunchtime approached, what to create? I walked in the garden with Daddy and as soon as I saw the honeysuckle we both smiled. A perfect radiance of colour and light. I had painted it once before as an adornment to a lady’s hair, so I knew it’s pattern. An indigo blue background and deep orange glow surround my final piece, christening two favourite new additions to my pastel box!
Honeysuckle. Pure Pigment Soft Pastels on Pastel Primed Board. 36 x 36 cm.
